Review on The Handy Hands Tatting Book: Unlock the Art of Tatting in a Lively Green Edition! by Barbara Simmons

Excellent Book for Learning Tatting

If you want to learn how to tatch, this book is a must. I tried shuttles, but being a needle knitter felt more natural. Of course there are great videos on Youtube (Rusti Kate) but this book always lies in my lap when I'm trying to make other patterns. But for now, since I've only been self-taught for a few weeks, I'll stick to the templates in the book. A few days ago I made my first locket! Handy Hands' website has everything you need to get started, but you can't wait to get started until your book arrives. Look for 5-inch doll pins at your local hobby store. Threads are important. I bought cheap threads. at the local big store and everything gets blurry so the seams aren't clear. I'm having so much fun tatting that I need to remind myself to finish my knitting projects!
