The ideal m.2 connector for this is where it sits.

In fact, this controller cannot be used with an m.2 connector located between PCI-ex slots, especially near the slot where the graphics card is installed. The ideal m.2 connector for this is where the BIOS chip is usually soldered. The controller of my previous PCI-ex type card gets very hot. Sufficient ventilation must also be ensured.
