I live in St. Clair County Michigan where there is water everywhere and shipwrecks by the dozens. I have had at least 3 friends tell me about Magnet fishing. Ok. I'll bite. When this came up I grabbed it.Great price for what comes in the kit.Heavy duty 66 foot line That will reach to the bottom of just about every spot on the St. Clair River and most of the lake.3 prong grabbling hook.700 lb. pull magnet.Thread Lock some the eye bolt doesn't hit the bottom and spin itself off I may still tack weld it just in case.A scraper to slide under the metal that you can't get off the magnet. (I think).Rubber glovesA big to keep the whole set in.To test it, I threw in it an old pond. I didn't get anything but there would be no reason anything would be down there. I threw a few old shackles in and it grabbed them tight and would not let go.Even when I pulled the magnet I was a bit worried how I was going to release it. I have heard bad stories that guys have hit them with a hammer to release them and the magnets can break. I did manage to pry it off but I am sold on the strength of this thing.Very cool and it will be fun to see what we find near the wrecks.
