There is a lot to say about this router but I will be as brief as possible. provide an easy setup method for new users. The problem will be that if you need to change settings or open a port, it will be difficult for you as a beginner to make changes. The concepts are the same as a home router, just a very different experience than what most home users are used to. It's also feature-packed and highly customizable. Among other things, I use it for Open VPN to allow access to the network I use for some work/lab VMs. My home network is on a separate VLAN and I also have a separate WiFi SSID for my work laptop. This is also my main router and barely exceeds 5% during the speed test at 500MB download. I don't have many rules, but the same rules make RB2011 boot up to 100% and I was only able to get about 150MB on this router. I have a gigabit connection but the maximum I choose is usually 750MB on Comcast but typically 500MB. In any case, this router hardly sweats. I still have my RB2011 and I am powering it with PoE from this router. I have fiber going to an HP switch and I have both ends as trunk ports. I am very happy with the router. It's nice to have 10 gigabit ports and I've moved a few things from my HP switch to the router instead. If you're using an old Mikrotik router and cranking up its CPU, this is a great upgrade. If you want to get online with Mikrotik but aren't sure you'll stick with it, try a cheaper router first. Exactly the same configuration and options are available on most routers. The only difference is the interfaces that are available to you.
