I bought this hole saw to make 6 inch board cuts for corn holes as opposed to using a jigsaw. The saw worked well; However, you should keep the following tips in mind to ensure a clean cut: First, I highly recommend using a chainsaw (not battery powered). I used a hammer drill mounted on a drill press. It took a little time to cut the 3/4" thick plywood. Second, I would use a drill bit without the included hole saw to drill the pilot hole, otherwise it would be difficult to center the drill bit. Also, take care Third, the saw cut better in reverse (counterclockwise) than forward. When I tried to cut clockwise, the saw tended to jump around and not as easily cut the other way. I started cutting from the back of the board and then sawed through from the front. This worked out much better. If you try to cut all the way through on one side, the wood will split and you won't get a nice clean cut .
