Review on 🚗 CURT 45791 Trailer Hitch Extension - 8-Inch Length, 2-Inch Receiver, 3,500 lbs Capacity by Justin Coatsworth

I don't know if what I received was defective but I had to send it back. Look at the product photo. The male part of the extension that fits your recipient is NOT typical. The length from the weld in the center of the panel to the hole is 2 3/4 inches. My receiver requires 3 1/2" and hence the holes did not line up. I then measured 4 other receiver mounted ball hitches and racks I have and they were all at least 3 1/2" long from the center of the hole .at a weld or other obstruction.I have attached a photo comparing the item to two other ball joints to give you an example of the problem.You can clearly see the difference if you compare the item in the middle with the compare both clutches top and bottom. Hope this helps some of you!
