Review on Knitters Pride Interchangeable Tunisian Crochet Knitting & Crochet and Crochet Hooks by Carla Anderson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Nice to hold, nice to use.

I NEVER use wood for crafting (apparently I still do). For the last twenty years I have been exceptionally knitting with very smooth and fast nickel plated needles when I first discovered metal and very quickly replaced all my wooden needles and when I started crocheting I immediately switched to metal hooks. the extreme ease and speed that metal offers over metal (not to mention the extreme relief on hands compared to pulling wood through loops of twine). I originally bought them because they were literally all I could get; If metal replacement crochet hooks were a thing I wouldn't own a tree for anything and I wasn't too happy with it but I needed them so I got them. I found the strain on my hands and wrists quite uncomfortable at first, but passed by fairly quickly, and by the time I finished my first Tunisian hat in one round (I've got a second one now) I was already exhausted. no problem, and now I really like the wooden tips. I think I actually see the advantage of wood over metal for Tunisian crochet over knitting because the loops are shaped differently. I would definitely buy more Knitter's Pride baits because of their dense smoothness and also because they are so damn beautiful.

Pros
  • Durable test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
