If you have a commercial oven this is for you

Most homes are usually fitted with the bare minimum of photosensitive fire alarms when built. Newer homes also have a built-in carbon monoxide detector, which has a limited lifespan and will need to be replaced more frequently. If you have a gas range in a kitchen or kitchen living area, or you frequently bake food at high heat, chances are you'll get some smoke. Individual light sensitive detectors often give false positive results. When I spoke to Kiddy, they recommended this detector for indoor locations where the by-products of gas cooking or high temperature smoke could set off a standard detector. As for me, I have a number of Thermador 6 Pro burners and even using 1200cfm I've gotten a lot of false smoke alarms. I replaced the original Kiddie with this one and it's ready to go. I didn't have to lay any cables. I just unplugged the old connector and plugged in the new one. Depending on the original detector, you may need to replace the base plate. I simply loosened the screws on the electrical box, unscrewed the old one, and then did the reverse process. Done, the job took about 10 minutes and now I have a smoke detector (it actually detects heat above the smoke) that isn't working. day off. I also installed a plug in the carbon monoxide sensor so that the smoke (heat) sensor does not have to be changed every 10 years.
