So far so good. My old gel pad had a lot of air pockets on the glass, the sensor didn't work. Thought that would be cheaper than a new sensor. I removed the old sensor, carefully cleaned the inner glass (it was clearly dirty), cleaned the old gel from the sensor and applied a new one. I glued the sensor to the window, checked it with a spray gun and TADA! Damn it worked. Haven't tried it in a real downpour yet, but it wouldn't even work with a sprayer before. The gel pad is easy to install. Just make sure everything is as clean as possible. There are two covers on the gel pad - one is easier to remove than the other (the white side is harder). Next time I would peel off the white side first and stick it on the sensor - it would be easier to work with on the workbench. Then the clear film is easier to remove when you're crunching in the car trying to put the damn thing back together. The car is a 2011 Nissan Murano.
