Review on AMP Research 74817 00A Extender BedXTender by Julio Roberts

I bought this for a 2017 Chevy Colorado. The opening instructions are incomplete - it says you only need a 9/16 metal drill bit, but you later find out you need a very obscure 21/64 drill bit that you won't find at Home Depot or Lowes. I didn't want to drive it around town, so I used an 8.7mm bit from Home Depot, which is very close to the 21/64 8.334mm bit. It worked fine. Installation is pretty easy, but after taking the Colorado headlights out and drilling holes, I found that a panel was preventing access to the screw. I dropped the nut a few times trying to squeeze my hand and get into a tight gap, but I have a huge hand and I still managed. I'd recommend filling the slight void under the hole with some paper or something - if your nut falls off (which will probably happen a couple of times) you'll have to spend a lot of time fishing it out. I finally realized it was wise to cover up the holes. In any case, it looks good and works great. Make sure you measure/check the distance to the first hole 4 times to make sure they match - this will make installation easier. This works fine, but my concern is the two plastic fins lining the tubes - cheap plastic held together with screws. hope it lasts For the price I would have expected metal clips instead of plastic clips. The pipe is made of metal with a black powder coating.
