Review on Enhance Engine Performance with the Airaid 300-637 Air Intake System by Nale Dunn

Three stars because I was hoping it would work well with a cold intake; it's not like this. I bought this and a K&N CAI at the same time hoping to get the combined effect of improved performance and mpg on my 2012 Durango Crew 3.6 VVT. I did a lot of research while they were coming, then installed K&N CAI to see how it worked and checked the claims people were posting online. After being convinced by the performance, sound, throttle response and increase in fuel economy per gallon I was very pleased and sent the Airaid back to Revain. Because? Airaid actually reduces CAI power because it acts like a throttle in the throttle body. It compresses throttle volume to create a spiraling effect for air mixture, and while some people say it's improved mpg gains around town, it's made things worse at highway speeds when the engine needs uninhibited volume.
