Review on T-fal E938SA Professional 10-Piece Black Cookware Set 🍳 – Nonstick, Oven Safe, Thermo-Spot Heat Indicator – Dishwasher Safe by Amanda Smith

I am a huge T-Fal fan and bought this set to replace my sturdy but aging Kitchen Aid pots and pans. I chose them for the metal base and they really make a difference to my ceramic hob. Cooking is much more even and I don't have to constantly adjust the temperature like I did with my old pots. Although they are now made in China I can tell you the quality of this set is excellent. I still have a few neatly used T-Fal pieces that were made in France that are heavier and nicer than these. Thermo Spot is only on pans, not pots. The handles are made of silicone, which protects well from heat. I used them mostly on the stovetop, but I used a 5-quart pot to bake the pie and a 10-inch pan to cook the steaks in the oven. They did their job and no pots or stove were damaged. The lids are very pretty and have a tiny steam release hole. The variety of pots is excellent although I use the 5 liter pot for most jobs including roasting and braising. Personally, for me, this set would have been better if it had included a tall-sided 12-inch pot. The smaller pan is handy for frying eggs that slide straight out of the pan without adding oil. The non-stick coating really works on them and I haven't had any issues with it chipping or peeling off. It is very easy to clean. Just use a sponge and dish soap. T-Fal claims they are dishwasher safe but I think it's foolish to risk that as it will only result in black fading and scratching. I found this out years ago when I needed to replace my T-Fal pans which would have lasted much longer if I had just hand washed them. It is best to use accessories made of silicone or bamboo. It is also recommended to only cook them over medium or low heat. tT-Fal sells many different items and sets. I've had good luck with all of them, but the E-Series is definitely better, so it's a good choice if you cook a lot and know how to care for pots.
