Review on Enhance Precision and Efficiency with the Drill Doctor DD500X Drill Bit Sharpener by Herthoel Yanda

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This taught me a valuable lesson: I must learn to sharpen drill bits by hand.

The drills are not very complicated, but difficult to explain. The manual tries a paragraph or two but fails. Problems: Chuck doesn't always pick up small parts. Either the bit rotates, or one of the cartridge's fingers goes to the side. The manual is TERRIBLE and explains how the angle selection works. The split point only works on 3/8 drills and above. I gave it up. - An even sharpening of smaller drills is basically not possible. Pros: - If you ONLY drill in wood, this is great! (But if you only drill wood, how much do you have to drill to resharpen?) The support is great, but good support just can't get this fragile product to the ground.

Pros
  • The best in its niche
Cons
  • So far so good
