Review on ๐Ÿš— Gates T312 Premium Timing Belt for Automotive Applications by Chris Meckler

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Identical to Original Equipment: Belt

When I replaced my first Honda timing belt (2005 Civic) the belt I removed had "Honda" written in big letters on it, and the Gates next to it -Logo. in smaller letters. This belt appears to be an exact match, except it lacks the Honda name. I've used one of these belts on my daily driver for about 125,000 miles so far with no problems (note: it really should be changed at about 100,000 intervals on a Civic). Cheap and part of OES, no complaints. . The last belt I put on the Civic was the Mitsuboshi belt because it comes with the water pump/timing belt kit, but both are Honda suppliers and there is no noticeable difference between the two belts. Gates is made in the USA and Mitsuboshi is made in Japan I think.

Pros
  • Belt, Hoses & Pulleys
Cons
  • Definitely Bad Product
