Ideal for protecting new composite deck rails from grilling heat.
I was looking for something that would keep the heat from my grill from overheating my composite (Timbertec/Azek) rails. I'm short on space and the grill is inches from the rail. I ordered one of the welder's blankets and it seems to be doing its job well. The rail will feel hot when grilled at 600 degrees. I ordered a second double and the splint does not heat up at all. Perfect. The material is very nice and almost makes you want to use it as a small blanket. Highly recommended - at least for what I use it for.
