Go for the brass

My friend has an older (1995) Toro snow plow that must have been built by Harley Davidson. It's noisy, leaks, and vibrates like a paint shaker when actually running, and it usually needs repairing about every three times you use it. I've replaced a few parts on it over the year, thinking it couldn't be something else that failed, and replaced the float, needle, spring, etc on it last summer. After that it went off all three times: once to see if everything was working after swapping parts, once when it got cold to make it easier to start if she used it, and once when she could actually use it to to remove the snow from their porch. The next time she tries to use it, it won't start - one of the tabs holding the float broke and the float leaked the gas from the tank onto the floor. Since she was fed up with not being able to use a Toro snow thrower and bought a really working one last winter (and runs more than 3 times before it needs service), I think I'll change the float and keep the engine running Gas. (not premixed) long enough to stall the engine and then push it to the curb for disposal. I don't want anyone taking this smoking piece of excrement home and trying to shovel snow with it.
