Review on 🛠️ Efficient Concrete Surface Restoration with BLUE BEAR 500MR Mastic Remover in Gallon Size by Chris Goldsby

It Really Works: Building Materials

This is the only product capable of removing 1950's mastic from a concrete slab under an old asbestos tile floor. You pour it on the mastic, leave it overnight, and then scrape it off. I used a scraper with a long shaft. It's "lemony," so it smells like orange instead of chemicals. Most of the mastic comes out as a sticky goo, although a few spots were still sticky and needed some more scraping. After scraping, I poured in a gallon or two of concrete degreaser and scrubbed with a long-bladed brush. Then I dumped in a few bags of HD Zep Spill Cleaner and swept it up. One treatment was enough because I lay laminate. But if you want to go absolutely residue-free on bare concrete, I'd do the same again.

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
