I like this pot in many ways but I bought it mainly because I needed a pasta pot with a built in colander. Unfortunately, it's poorly constructed and almost always spits water over the rim between the main pot and the strainer when simmering. The problem seems to be that the strainer doesn't go deep enough into the pot, leaving a few inches of water at the bottom where the pasta can't cook. Noodles, I need a lot of water and end up having to overfill the pot to have enough noodles for the water. I still gave it four stars because it has become my go-to pot for so many, especially for soups. Big and durable, I can do anything in it without worrying about it overflowing.
