Dangerous product! The lid explodes! Do not buy!

Please do not buy from this company. This product liability lawsuit is pending in federal court. I followed the directions to the tee. I washed the pots + lids with hot soapy water and put them on medium heat to cook the noodles. I put the lid on, after 3 minutes I wanted to take it off and when I lifted the lid it exploded, the glass composite shattered and splattered everything around. Thank god I wasn't hurt except for a few fragments in my hand. DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM! The lid will explodeโ€ฆ

Big, beautiful and useful but could be better

I like to cook pasta in pots like this but the previous ones I had were better in my opinion If you have a lid, it is not very reliable. So when you boil water, boiling water often splashes and spills out from under the lid, even if the pot is only half full. This was not a problem with previous pans. Likewise, I feel that while the pan is deep, the colander is a little shallow so you end up having to pour in a lot more water to cover the pasta than other pans - which also means longer cookingโ€ฆ

Great pot but not for pasta

I like this pot in many ways but I bought it mainly because I needed a pasta pot with a built in colander. Unfortunately, it's poorly constructed and almost always spits water over the rim between the main pot and the strainer when simmering. The problem seems to be that the strainer doesn't go deep enough into the pot, leaving a few inches of water at the bottom where the pasta can't cook. Noodles, I need a lot of water and end up having to overfill the pot to have enough noodles for theโ€ฆ

Water leaks from pot

I bought this set thinking draining pasta would be a breeze. (I didn't really need a steamer). Every time I use it, boiling water pours out of the space between the strainer and the pan, leaving the mush on the stove. Attached is a photo of the water BEFORE I put the noodles in: Note that once the noodles are in the pot and the water overflows, the water will thicken and leave a sticky, burnt residue on the stovetop. I've been waiting to write this review because I've been experimenting withโ€ฆ

The only reason I didn't give this 4 star rating is because I hand washed the parts in hot soapy water as directed upon receipt. When I dried off with a towel. The towel was coated with a gray metallic residue. I hand washed again. Same result. After two treatments with slowly boiling water and three treatments with rinsing water, the gray residue was finally eliminated. The blocks have survived multiple washes in the dishwasher and are still bright and shiny. It was a plus. Knowing that it was
