I bought this set thinking draining pasta would be a breeze. (I didn't really need a steamer). Every time I use it, boiling water pours out of the space between the strainer and the pan, leaving the mush on the stove. Attached is a photo of the water BEFORE I put the noodles in: Note that once the noodles are in the pot and the water overflows, the water will thicken and leave a sticky, burnt residue on the stovetop. I've been waiting to write this review because I've been experimenting with different water levels to find one that doesn't overflow. Result: you need to add very little water if you don't want the mush to overflow, which is unacceptable for pasta that needs a lot of water to cook properly. Spaghetti also comes out at the bottom and needs to be pulled out. I would not buy this set again.
