It's made of plastic: Safety
It works well and I love it, especially for the price. I would recommend and would buy again as I didn't have to cut the straps to make it work. That means if it breaks while riding, I can still use my helmet. My only complaint is that the horseshoe loops are plastic and don't fit my main helmet, but they do fit my HJC half helmet well.
