Love these caps. I've tried many different ways to keep the sealant from drying out - inserting a large nail, duct tape, and a $15 cap with insert. The only one that worked was $15, but the price was prohibitive if, like me, you have a dozen or so different sealants that you want to save for life support. These little orange caps work great; my very expensive custom paint sealers are still up to date a year later. And they're inexpensive, easy to find (orange) and leave no wet caulk marks when removed like plugs. In addition, they have many uses in my home, art studio and wood workshop. They are ideal for protecting the tips of small tools so they can be thrown safely in drawers, baskets or bags. Think scissors, screwdrivers, pliers, tweezers and even knitting needles. Silicone is easy to put on, holds well and is just as easy to take off again. They come in generous packaging, so feel free to use them with impunity.
