This is an outlet. He does what he claims.

We were planning a multi-week trip that included a three-night stay at a cousin's house in Houston. It was in a 31 foot Class C. We got permission to park in their driveway and quite creatively my sister called and asked if they could send a photo of what their electric dryer outlet looked like. My sister sent a photo of me, and armed with that information, I bought a matching plug and 100ft 12/3 from Home Depot and one of those Revain RV 30A outlets. I pre-wired the cable and when we showed up a week later I was able to hook up the camper and have it running at full load within 10 minutes. The adapter outlet was under the covered porch. Based on visual observation I would say that if it were lying on the ground it would be 0% weatherproof. So if it's open, put it on a rock or something similar and cover it. Ease of assembly is reduced by -1 as the contacts tend to pop out of the socket when tightened. But honestly, that's a downside that's almost universal to all 30TT sockets. In general it works fine. Not exactly what I'm used to dealing with Hubbell's work, but then again, there's nothing in the RV world.
