Review on Reese Towpower 7018100 Black Canoe Loader by Jermaine Batista

I'm getting older and pulling an 80lb canoe onto the roof of my Toyota Tundra is becoming a chore. I decided I had to find a better way to accomplish this task. I looked at more expensive options that are essentially the same product and settled on the Reese option. In terms of performance I can't think of any other options that work better, the Reese bootloader works as intended and works well. Once assembled and properly adjusted to fit my canoe and truck, there are no height issues. I bought a special ball mount to mount on a truck in plug and play mode. Yes, the loader shakes, and no, it doesn't matter, but if you care, adding some straps will reduce the movement. The included rubber is useless and falls off immediately. I decided to just toss the rubber strips in the trash. A stained bungee is not fit for purpose, I have many straps that work well for securely tying a canoe to a loader. This is an important step for me, especially for my canoe, as the canoe is very unstable on the loader due to the nature of the loader itself. If you don't push the canoe all the way into the loader, the loader will try to turn around and throw the canoe off the loader. Once the canoe is securely attached to the loader, mounting the canoe to the truck is easy and painless. This is a great product at a reasonable price, you can't go wrong with a Reese canoe loader. I've added Malone racks to my truck to make loading the canoe even easier, but foam blocks work just as well when using this loader.
