Review on ATV Winch Mount for Honda Fourtrax 300-1993-2000 - Extreme Max 5600.3166 by Grant Galloway

Fitted to a 1993 Honda 300 TRX-FW. Great product for ease of use. You don't have to remove the posts or wings to install the plate and bracket. You only need to remove two screws and use the U-bolts to install the plate. I mounted the Harbor Freight 2500 TRX mount on the plate (photo), the screw holes matched perfectly. On the other hand, the screw holes of the fairlead guide did not match the fairlead plate bracket. I improvised and mounted a fairlead rail to the rack frame at the front of the quad using U-bolts (photo) and used the fairlead plate bracket to mount the remote harness box which allows easy access to the front panel remote connector. I'm not sure how this affects the recovery of the wire on the spool during operation, but I only bought it once a season so that the "ground" in the forest was an emergency and not for everyday use. I found the cost a bit high, almost $50 considering I only paid $60 for the chick. But there's a convenience factor that I used to justify the cost.
