The toaster looks nice on my countertop but that's where it ends. I'm a bit disappointed with the results. The bread takes too long to toast (longer than any toaster I've ever had) and the toasting is uneven ie darker on one end. I can put a few slices in and then I have other things to do while I wait. Okay, no big deal, but if you're in a hurry, forget it. When toasting a bagel, I need to adjust the toast level. A level does not work for bread and bagels. If you use a frozen food option like these little frozen waffles it takes longer, which is to be expected, but even then I have to put them back in and add another 1/2 minute or so. There's a gap at the top where the insulated black case meets the hot metal, and crumbs collect in that quarter-inch gap. Crumbs must either be removed with a vacuum cleaner or the device turned upside down and shaken (be sure to remove the bottom tray first).
