I had to cut an access hole in the wall of the stairs because the tub spout was frozen and unscrewed. I've decided that there should be access in case some other problem arises. It doesn't fit the wall as tightly as I'd like, but there's always a trade-off. Nicely drawn but visible. I recommend this product if you want to cover the access area with drywall.
