My Tupperware mat is getting old! I use it often and it shows that I've been looking for a new one. I can't find her anymore, so I ventured here. Bought another silicone mat but it was so thin it was relegated to a dish mat and not a lap mat. Take a risk and NOT disappointed! Once you get used to it, it's nice. Very big, really very big. Good. Was a little sticky and smelly at first but washed off first and what was left dissolved. I wouldn't use a knife to divide or cut dough, but other than that it looks like it's going to take quite a while. Let's see if it beats the Tupperware stuff - it's no easy feat! The dough doesn't seem to stick to the mat much - even with minimal flour. Concentric circular guides help cut pastry to fit cake pans. Dampen the counter with a damp cloth and the mat will stick and not slide or move! Happy. I haven't tried it as a casserole dish in the oven yet. Probably not.
