I wish I had thought more about converting the tailgate handle with an OEM lock instead of buying a Pop&Lock. On the plus side, it effectively locks the tailgate and I keep it. Initial installation was easy (but be careful when attaching the firing pin to push it as high up in the grip as you can before sliding it back into place). My main complaint is that it doesn't fit well. I spent 20 minutes carving a Pop&Lock guide to keep my handle from binding and even in the end the tailgate handle doesn't sit flat in the body. Maybe I'm expecting too much because I'm sure Ford builds the rear doors differently, but I was expecting a more finished look. Another caveat is that adding Pop&Lock reduces the space for your hand to reach the handle and open the door. back door. This is a minor complaint, but others should consider it, especially if you use the back door a lot.
