I'm a fan of microwave popcorn but not small bags because I use a microwave corn machine. I bought this for simplicity and convenience, and it doesn't use inserts like the Presto Power Pop, perhaps to save money. I've been using Presto Pop for many years now and am completely satisfied, but the silicone foldable popper sounded unique and comfortable. I followed the instructions exactly and made a batch. I then made a second batch with Presto, both batches with Orville Reddenbacher cores. The surface of the presto was fluffy, crunchy, with no burned grains, while the silicon block was about three quarters full, minor puffs and a few burnt grains. It wasn't inedible, but it wasn't premium either. Due to a number of personal circumstances, I have not put it back in the window of opportunity, but I would if I could. I would not recommend this popper.
