I teach night classes in prison and the classroom has a basic TV and DVD player. The problem is that for many of the video series I use I only have the digital version and not the physical DVD. I can't bring a phone or computer into jail so my options are very limited. This device works like a DVD player but for digital media. I can use my flash drive where my videos are stored by plugging it directly into the player and connecting the media player to the TV with an HDMI cable. It comes with a remote control, which makes it much easier to use, and the picture quality is excellent. Finally, I want to store everything directly on the device, but I need to add a hard drive. ***Please note that it has a built-in slot for an internal hard drive, but this is not included. You need to buy a hard drive separately. However, out of the box it supports USB sticks (with transfer speed 3.0) as well as standard SD cards. It also comes with all the cables you need to get started. It was just what I needed for prison service.
