I've only used the USB input to view videos on my TV but it works great! AV out works too, but you need to make sure the AV cables are fully plugged in. It's very close to where the power cord plugs in. My problem is that the remote also communicates with my Vizio soundbar. What a disappointment. I have an external 2.5" USB 3.0 SATA drive connected to a USB 2 Blue Ray player that lags when playing a movie, so I figured this device would be much faster . First, the included screwdriver to open and install the hard drive is not accurate and I had to use a different one. If you try to use the one that comes with the kit, you'll rip off the top and it's impossible to rotate. On top of that, they were WAY too tight and almost impossible to untie.
