I have used McGard and I have used the Chinese brand that is sold in most auto parts stores. There is a distinct difference in the finish quality of McGard locks. They are a bit more expensive although I found a great price on Amazon. Great for car. The only downside I was aware of before ordering is that the wrench uses a different nose size than the nuts on my wife's Kia. McGard advertises that their wrenches use the same nose size as the nut. It may fit in most cases but not for our car. Or maybe I could get a match if I order from McGard. This is normal as we keep a 4-sided mini wrench along with the jack. This is a good deterrent to protect your expensive wheels. If a thief wants something bad enough, they'll probably get it, but I doubt most people have time to mess with wheel locks.
