Review on 🔬 Dino-Lite AM4113ZT USB Digital Microscope - 1.3MP, 10x - 50x, 220x Optical Magnification, Measurement, Polarized Light by Kristopher Tight

Like the other reviewer, we also bought this unit to test circuit board assemblies (specific components on it, to be precise). We have to look at the sides of the components, which means we're looking at the board surface at a very oblique angle. In this application the cap (which is designed to automatically place a plane parallel to the objective lens with the correct focal length at 200x) interfered and prevented the use of magnifications much greater than 40x. Now I cut off this cap. and we can photograph the assembled components from behind at maximum magnification. That being said, if this sounds like your application, I'd look for models that have a removable cover so you don't have to constantly modify your new digital microscope.
