Added this to my home network after only using the 2.4GHz built into my Mikrotik CRS125-24G-1S-2HnD-IN because I had better WiFi performance at the other end of my house and AC speed wanted . Run a Cat 6 cable from my office to the kitchen, mounted it to the ceiling with the included mounting hardware and a POE injector next to my router/switch. I now have wonderful speeds and no loss of power around the house. These guys are cheap enough in a big house, you can get 2 of them for the price of a Ubiquity AC AP. The configuration is quite easy if you are familiar with RouterOS. I'm not using the CAPsMAN system to set it up, but I may use it in the future since I'm running it as a WISP access point in bridge mode. Speed tests with my desktop and my Google Pixel XL and iperf3 show 250 Mbit/s throughout the house with a channel width of 80 MHz. I am working on adding two of these to my office to replace the old Unifi AP and get rid of the AP only controller.
