This awesome sensor module works with Arduino and has several libraries to support it like those from Pololu and Sparkfun. As a time-of-flight sensor, you can expect reliable distance detection up to 4 meters from this product. This sensor has an API that allows you to set one or more areas of interest for applications such as people/object counting, speed detection, and swipe detection. In general, the sensor works very well. It definitely comes with jumper cables that easily plug into any microcontroller. Low power consumption and very clean module implementation!
