These ratchets are fine. They work well, but we are very annoyed that the handle that covers the hand crank is not attached. Many times when we tightened the ratchets the handle fell off. I have used ratchets in the past where the handle was attached to the handle and were much easier to work with. I also don't know if this is due to a design flaw in the handle or something else, but we did find that when we tightened the ratchet, the line curled slightly. It also requires a fair amount of force to loosen the crank once tightened. Overall we are just happy with our purchase. I highly recommend buying another set.
