Easy to use Best hardware

Value for 4 sets. Go to YouTube to learn how to check the buckles. I've read reviews complaining about the handles falling off and it says right on the packaging that the handles are supposed to be removable - I suggest you tape them on if you don't want them to come loose. I've also read reviews complaining that the buckles are difficult to open and I wonder if people try to pull straight on the latch to disconnect it from the spool - the buckle is designed to to do this for you when it is…

Good, functional medium strength ratchet straps

I used these ratchets to secure the contents of a 6 x 12 foot U trailer when we were transporting our daughter's belongings 6 hours away to her new home. They have proven themselves well for this purpose. I found the ratchet and threading the ratchet strap through the ratchet itself a bit difficult to figure out. But it could be my fault. I am sure that with frequent use there will be no problems. They seemed strong enough. We secured a mattress and a box spring bed in the caravan, as well as a

That's fine, but you can look elsewhere

These ratchets are fine. They work well, but we are very annoyed that the handle that covers the hand crank is not attached. Many times when we tightened the ratchets the handle fell off. I have used ratchets in the past where the handle was attached to the handle and were much easier to work with. I also don't know if this is due to a design flaw in the handle or something else, but we did find that when we tightened the ratchet, the line curled slightly. It also requires a fair amount of…

5 point ratchet with a star direction and star design

Like a ratchet they work great. We used them to hold up the roof rack because we were a bit nervous about the weight, as well as a few other things outside of the roof rack. It worked great. BUT two engineers, one with a masters degree, couldn't figure out how to use them without watching several different videos on You Tube. Multiple times. And while trying to figure it out, he screwed up one of the rattles. Engineers usually ignore instructions and just do what is obvious. Things that don't…

Solid straps - they get the job done

These straps are of good quality. I have used it several times and it works well. Anyone who has trouble releasing them under tension may be making a mistake. To release the straps, simply press the small metal latch intended for the handle (rather than the other one that can confuse people) and then open the ratcheting handle fully. They just loosen up and take the pressure off. They work really well - way better than some of the other straps I've tried. The only reason I removed the star is…
