Cable connectors are smaller than my original

Not really the same as what I replaced. The bayonet wire connectors on my original were the standard size, this item had small (about half the width) connectors. I changed the plugs on the cables to fit. It works as usual. It would be nice if the smaller plugs came with the starter relay.
