When first installed I was able to set my kitchen cabinet doors to close silently and they seem to work well. I had to adapt some to the maximum tension of the large closet doors so that they close silently. After a few months they now seem to loosen or lose resistance when the door closes on large closet doors as they tend to click a little towards the end or to close. The 22" x 28" oak/laminate doors are slightly heavier than standard. It may be necessary to attach 2 dampers to the door so that it closes completely silently. The screws are included and the cabinet doors are still a lot quieter than the noise they made before installation. The dampers are made of plastic, but hold up well.
