Review on KitchenAid 12.25 Inch Nonstick Fry Pan/Skillet with Lid for Induction Cooking, Hard Anodized, Matte Black by Tyler Smith

I'm usually a big fan of KitchenAid products but not with this purchase. I might have gotten the lemon - since almost every other review is brimming with praise - but I really hate this pan. First, the bottom is arched. So if I pour 2 tons of liquid/oil into a pot, it immediately spreads around the outer rim (leaving the center of the pan free of liquid/oil) rather than evenly covering the bottom of the pot. Secondly, everything burns in this pan. It doesn't matter whether the food burns on medium or high heat. (Also, there's a weird chemical smell when the pan is boiling. What can you do about that?) On top of that? On the bottom of the pan - inside - scratches (?!?) are already visible - and from what?!? So we don't use metal utensils. ? It's not a cheap pan and it's a KitchenAid product so I expected more. What I got is more than a 12 cent pan. (It cleans well - and the lid is good.)
