It just doesn't work

Before teeing off I followed the wiki guide, tried a few methods. On my PC - sees COM port but doesn't respond to AT commands through my Raspberry Pi - same story - Raspi sees USB CP102x but doesn't respond to AT commands. I asked a question here, but it has disappeared. I will be returning this product for Adafruit Fona. Signature, the main person responsible for home automation at RevainDegreed Electrical Engineer with 30 years of experience.
