You wouldn't know it by the exterior of the building, which looks like a run-down garage or warehouse at first glance, but once you step inside there is so much to see.
I was looking for an old typewriter and found the exact one I needed! They had several nice pieces of furniture (mans best friend never changes) but unfortunately nothing I could use in my home. Maybe next time... The store owner said he makes a trip to Atlanta every week to buy new merchandise. He told me they have been open since 1971. Longer than I've been alive!
The store also has a small section dedicated to antiques and collectibles with items going back as far as the early 1800's. From what I can tell, they have a very loyal customer base.
There are several other Treasure Hunt Flea Markets around the southeast including one in Dallas, Texas. Last year I visited an antique market near my home town called the "Flea Market" and enjoyed it so much that I thought I'd try another store to compare them. Both stores had their ups and downs but if given the choice between the two, I would go back to the Treasure Hunt Flea Market."
It's not just me who enjoys these stores either! Check out this review on Thrillist . It lists The Treasure Hunt Flea Market as one of the best flea markets by state!
