
These are frankly bad batteries. Although each of the batteries I tested showed an open voltage of 1.5 volts, that's not all. These batteries draw very little current, so the battery voltage drops below 1.2 volts under any load. This is why they give a low voltage warning on digital thermometers, and some thermometers show low temperature readings. Also, these batteries have an expiration date of 2026, which is debatable given that LR41 batteries have a maximum shelf life of four years. Someone took pains to maul those defective batteries.
