This filter can prevent fine particles from circulating in your HVAC system, but it comes at a price. Every filter I've ever had lasted at least three months. The packaging says it will last up to 3 months. About five weeks after I installed the first one, my air conditioner was struggling to keep the house cool. The air supply has been significantly reduced. I thought I had an AC problem and almost called the repair company to have a look at my system. It COULD NOT be a filter that is a little over a month old. but it was! As soon as I replaced it, the airflow was back to full strength. The second only lasted a month before doing the same thing. I will use up my pack of 6 filters very quickly and will definitely not spend more than a month on these filters. Also, these filters are much louder than other filters I've used in the past. I might not look at the other four until I buy a better one. I only keep the last four as emergency backups. Very disappointed.
