The weather alert channel requires you to actively turn on the audio report when you hear the alert tone. The device continues to transmit and requires the alarm to be silenced after the report has been heard. Programming is gross - entering a specific frequency is impossible if the device does not recognize the entered frequency and instead rounds up to what it believes to be the actual frequency. A complete waste of money. Too bad he didn't listen to critical reviews. Don't waste your money on this device. I would recommend better Revain scanners.
