Review on πŸ”₯ MMRAD-E36-92 Performance Aluminum Radiator for BMW E36 3-Series (1992-1999) by Mishimoto by Philip Anderson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Easy install BUT top hose bracket is a bit tight with fan cover and tank return

Overall a good improvement on the stock plastic radiator. More expensive, but with a lifetime warranty and metal construction, it's a worthwhile upgrade over standard, failure-prone plastic. First problem - Not all of us have manual transmission cars - It has Auto Tansmission radiator brackets BUT they resized the brackets from the stock radiator - WHY! - and if you MUST do it, WHY didn't you provide 4 bolts - A small change but for the price they should be included - If you have a car - you need 4 M6 bolts. This is the default theme for all these Mishi products I've bought - brilliant packaging - BUT small items are disappointing. This package must have cost a fortune - and went straight into the bin! Fits well in the car, no problems with attachment. The only issue I had was that the upper radiator hose, reservoir reverse fittings and fan cover bolts were VERY tight and very tight. I used new hoses and I think the febi return hose is a bit thicker than the old one I removed, but in my opinion the upper radiator outlet should be a bit lower as the hose is also stuck with the Mishi fan mount I installed was. I used silicone radiator hoses so they were smaller than the stock rubber hoses, which I removed. I would have serious fitment issues if I stayed with the stock thicker rubber tubing. Mishi components that should be engineered to fit together nicely - I rebuilt a heatsink, a fan shroud and after wrecking my old tank, a metal tank. For the money it's worth for this setup, it's only let down in performance. I don't have to exert myself to come to my senses. These are NOT cheap parts.
