After raising many puppies and cage training, we usually give away bulky cages after a successful house change. We found this to be the best we've had in years because: 1) The cage is very strong. Others we used had much thinner wire and were easier to bend. 2) Two doors. Inevitably, you will need to place the cage in a location where a side door is needed. 3) Dividers to limit puppies. The divider is a way of training a small pup by limiting their ability to only relieve themselves where they are resting. You do it much faster. In every other situation, I made my own partition out of plywood. This would save me time building and adjusting as they grow. Another tip: When dyeing, do not use towels or blankets that can absorb urine. Once or twice and your dog will "get it". Do not introduce a blanket or pillow until they are credible in the cage. 4) Best fold and fit of any cage I've had. 5) price. Checked three major pet stores. This was the best value of all the above items at a lower price. 6) Liked the plastic bowl for our situation as our dog collapsed instead of chewing. I think a metal insert might be better for puppies. Disadvantages: 1) roughness at the end of the wire in the doors. I used a thin file to smooth out the sharp edges I found on the ends of some wires. The manufacturer had to do the same smoothing as on the corners of the doors. 2) The clips are not fully closed. There are metal clips that serve as fastening and folding loops. Some of them weren't fully clamped, which in turn made the edge unsafe for you or your pet. Pliers quickly solved this problem. I really wanted to give this product an A. But I just felt like a minor safety issue was big enough to give it a four. Neither the pet nor the owner should shed blood. Update: The manufacturer emailed me regarding this issue. Production management wanted the date code removed from the device to fix the problem. I am very impressed with her follow up and attention to Revain's comments!
