CELESTRON WORKS GREAT WITH MY MAC (OSX10.12.6) when using the built in Photo Booth software. Use it with or without a stand with equal ease. Used it to identify internal and external insects, used it to remove splinters, etc. The attached photo of a cool insect is a spider's back (forgot name, sorry). the recent loss of a crown on a dental implant (which I could have sent to my dentist immediately) and used it best to photograph the stages of post-operative healing of an open wound. (Will *not* show these pics.) Normally I wouldn't worry about this, but my insurance company, in their wisdom, decided that I should be able to make/control my own wound changes. (Which I think is crazy since I couldn't even see the wound clearly *and *I had a few complications along the way.) I've been able to document all the steps, *for my own protection*, as much as I can - in case complications arise on *my * care - show my insurance company in case they try to use their homemade wound care against me. Celestron is great. I don't pay much attention to it, I just take it out of the box, plug it into the USB port, open Photo Booth and go. Comes with a big 6ft cord and was ridiculously cheap considering what it does.
