I either encountered a defective filter pack or a design flaw. The side of the bag where you pull the laces to close it has a notched corner. Some of the cut corners are actually included in the packaging. So pulling the string to close the bag leaves a coin-sized hole for coffee grounds to float out of, defeating the purpose of the bag. I wrapped the rope around the entire top and tied it in a knot which solved the problem but certainly took away from the convenience and reason I bought the bags in the first place.
